The New Scraproom

I have the promised pictures of the Scraproom. It's neither as clean and organized as I aspire to, nor as messy as it usually is. I still don't have the scanner hooked up so I can show you the plans I have, but you can see the current state. :)

Beautiful French doors so the toddler can look in on me with big sad eyes and the most heart wrenching pout. That wall is where the desk will eventually go so the pout will just bore into my back. :D
My new desk the hubby bought and assembled for me. I love how feminine it is. :) Those are the curtains I sewed together at 4 am from Ikea fabric.
This is where I plan to put some sort of comfy reading chair. Love my bright pillows.
So does the furry little sunbather.
View out of my window. At about 3 pm an 8 yr. old boy will start beating on the front door of the house on the right, and doing a pee-pee dance as his older brother torments him with questions before opening the door.
These are my new Ikea shelves hubby found on Craig's List. I'd like to convert over to all green and white storage, but it will have to be a slow conversion. If it ain't broke, and you ARE- don't fix it. ;)

The colorful flower jars make me happy. The semi-completed projects under it do NOT. lol

First project from the new Scraproom - so very Autumn. I hope you like what I've done so far. :) Thanks for looking. Dee2

The Perfect Day

September was an especially busy month for me. We finally moved from our lofty third floor apartment into a quiet house in the country. I never knew what a nosy neighbor I was until I lived in a neighborhood. lol

I now have a room *of my very own* that is a craft/reading/hide from the toddler/kitty sunbathing room. It's a busy place. ;) I want to post the plans for the room and the mess it's currently in after I get my scanner hooked up.

I haven't unpacked it all yet so there hasn't been much scrapping, but I do have a few pictures to share from pre-move projects.

I used Cosmo Cricket's Hello Sunshine to make this album. It is very funky and cheerful. :)
It was fun to play with something a bit different, but I can't wait to get back into my stash of Autumn papers.

This album just turned out beautiful! I tried not to be too stingy with the beautiful trim I've been collecting. :)
Some fun tags I made with my stamps, and the ribbon stash.

This is my princess in my new room. :) I have no idea where she gets her silly posing from. You should have seen some of the others. Think Yoga more than portrait.

I hope to get into my stash before this weekend so I can work on a couple PFOP projects, and a Halloween Jar swap I joined at my LSS. In the meantime, you can find me on ebay here. Enjoy!

P.S. If you like Sassafras Lass a friend of mine is having a give-away of some their new product. She has an eBay store, and I think the BEST customer service and prices online.

August Pictures

I forgot to send pictures with yesterday's post so I thought I would give a brief run-down of August in pictures. :)

This is when my youngest brother, Tracy, visited. We miss him so much. He was such a sweet addition to our daily lives, and poor Sofie asks me everyday when Nana will bring him back. I miss having someone to play cards or video games with.
This is my Dad. We got to see him breifly before he had to ship out to Iraq.
This is M with the shaggy beach look I was telling you about. He cut his hair, and ooolala he looks nice. :)
Tracy has a giant apetite. ;)

The orange was from our trip to Central Market where we discovered Tracy has quite the expensive taste in foods, and that it only takes one hot and fresh Krispy Kreme (next door to the grocery store) donut to make a convert.

Big crocodile tears after being spanked for running away at the arboretum. She has such a free (read wild) spirit.

Nothing better than giant frogs squirting water at you when it's 100 degrees out.
The Crepe Myrtles are my favorite part of the aroboretum. Blossoms were wisping through the air as we walked through.
I was just as tempted as Sofie to pick all the flowers for myself. :D

This is me last Friday heading off to scrapbook with some friends.
This is what was at my feet begging me to take her swimming. She thinks if she gets totally ready that I HAVE to say yes. Pushy little thing.

Sofie is munching on an apple. I could use my own apple tree as the girl drinks apple juice for breakfast, has whole apples for snacks, and wants apple sauce with her meals.
Me looking crazy. :)

At my feet looking crazy. lol

Love you all, Dee2

Ebay Update

After much consideration, I did change my ebay username. It is now brown-paper-packaging instead of FairRoe. I didn't want to have to add the dashes, but apparently someone (who never bought or sold anything) registered in 2005 using the name I wanted. Such is life.

The designers of PFOP are having a supply sale. I am currently the only one with my listings up, but there should be more within the day.

Below is a vintage inspired Halloween album that I currently have listed. The papers are Basic Grey Mellow except for a few random strips here and there.

I was very pleased with the soft Autumny feel of it. You can check out my listings HERE.

That's all for today, hope you're each having a good week. Dee2

The Best of Intentions

I did say I would be slowing down in my last post, so I hope you will excuse this post for being several days late. I didn't slow down so much as get so busy I didn't have time to post anything!

We did draw the winner on Friday, and it was the slightly snarky Cindy from Yapping Cat Studio. :) Congrats to you. I'll send you a note to get your address.

I have had a delightful time crafting things this week. My daughter and I have even been finger painting. (Thankfully she had her Daddy's skill in bringing images to life!)

Here is something I made for Thanksgiving. It has tags to jot down what you're thankful for in the front pocket, and a photo matte on the reverse side with a tag for captioning the moment.

I made one for me, and one for Etsy if you're interested.

Sherri gave me a few papers from the newest kit at TCS, and here is what I came up with. This little girl is a friend of a friend (maybe once more removed?). lol

The layout is a lift from something I'd seen before, but I have no idea where or who. It just kind of stuck in my mind.

I really liked all the mini chipboard shapes. They don't have all the details on this kit up yet, but the winner will be getting a prize straight from Maya Road so keep checking back.

I have a few pics from the completed Seaworld album I showed you all.

Aww, my Shamu. Had to show him off again.
Thought this looked fun and summery.
I love how the yellow pops on this page. Hello Pingu.
This splash zone sticker was just perfect. We love getting drenched by the giant whales.
I used a little of my October Afternoon paper here. I just love it! I need more.

My friend Sandie has a really cute birthday album in her Etsy store if you're in need of one. She used some of the cutest cupake paper ever. Would be perfect with one of MR's new Cupcake Albums.

I think that is all for today. I am putting together a new give-away. Not sure when I will get it posted, but soon! :) Someone remind me to get a picture of the layout I created for the Girlfriend album swap.

Happy Scrapping, Dee2
