Traditional Family Album

This is a little traditional style family album that I designed in October. I have finally listed it on eBay. Makes me feel like I am getting back in the saddle.

Wedding Invites

I put these samples together for a friend, and thought I'd share. The info is made up so I'm not giving anything away. ;)

This measures 4x8" and looks simple and I hope elegant with the touch of ribbon. All paper is bazzill cardstock.
Close up of the ribbon.
The cardstock underneath the vellum would hold the invite info. I also thought of running the vellum through the cuttlebug with a French print for texture. Card measures 5x7"

This turned out to be my favorite. It's just a 4x8" card wrapped in a vellum jacket with a ribbon and twine enclosure.
Her colors are chocolate and champagne, but I didn't have any flowers on hand in that color.

Anyway, hope you enjoy these simple cards and think about doing handmade invites to your next get together. They're a cinch.

A very Merry Un-Valentines to you!

I recreated the anti-Valentine I mentioned before. I didn't have a second set of pictures to add, but I feel a certain wicked pleasure in having thrown up on all my exes. :)

I heard this song by George Strait, "All my exes live in Texas" one day while scrapping at TCS. Now I don't normally listen to country music, but the lyrics give it a pass. :)

I'm really not sure what details anyone would write to introduce their exes, but words like: cheat, liar, and low down dirty dog all come to mind. ;)

Next stop: Loserville!
Thought this little Shakespeare quote had a nice sarcastic ring to it, "They do not love, that do not show their love."

It wasn't going anywhere, and we all know whose fault that was..

My favorite: Ten things I hate about you just isn't going to be enough.

I've always wanted to go back and tell him he was right..

I should have written in darker ink for this back page, but it's a map of Tennessee and the words are from the chorus "All my exes live in Texas, and that's why I hang my hat in Tennessee."

Hope you enjoy, and if this isn't quite your sense of humor, please forgive me this one holiday.

Hello all! :) I am slowly dipping my toes back into the world of crafting. Thanks for the well wishes.

I have pictures to share of projects I recently made for my local scrapbook store.

I just love this line. It came to me from my sweet hubby who likes to whisper in my ears when I should be working. The topper is made from hearts found in Maya Road's new Valentine keychains, and an empty ribbon spool which I painted pink and glittered to my hearts content.

I printed sweet and funny quotes about love, rolled the notes, and the bound them together with bits of ribbon. I thought this would be a sweet idea filled with reasons you love your Valentine.

I made this romantic tag with the giant tags TCS now carries, bits of Maya Road ribbon, a chipboard heart (K&CO last year), and a heart cut from a page in The Scarlet Letter. Maybe as a little warning to the lovebirds.

The sad news is that I made an anti-Valentine album  to carry on last years tradition, but lost it in the crossfire of morning sickness. I'm very bummed about it, but plan to recreate what I can tonight. Hope to have pictures of that to share soon. :)

Hope you like, Dee2

January Update

Hello all. Just a quick post. Please please pray for me. I have a sinus infection that won't go away, and the doctors don't think there is anything else they can do until baby is born. It is causing my morning sickness to be so much worse than normal, and I am constantly dehydrated.

I have some pictures of the last couple of months to share. :)

Sofie dressed herself up, and told me she was going to the store to buy ice cream, and would I like I anything?

Sofie was a lion for Halloween, even though I wanted her to be a lady bug. Her hair does seem a bit lionish though. :)

Trick or Treating with Daddy. Our neighborhood was sadly childless.
Pouting for candy.
These pictures are from our family Thanksgiving with Michael's family. These are Jennifer's boys Austin and Wesley. They're so handsome. :)
A quick picture with their Grammy.
This was taken Thanksgiving day. Sofie is sitting with Cheryti's dad showing off her love of music. :)

I think she made me read this book to her 10 times on the drive home from FL.
A sweet doll from Sofie's great-grandmother. She has since done everything she can to change the dolls clothes, but the are sewn right onto the doll.
My sister openly showing how much she loves one of her Christmas gifts.

The pink shirt we got Tracy, and Sofie showing off her noise maker toy.
The tall brother. Seriously, what are you 6'2" now? I think you're a whole foot taller than me!
Baby brother relaxing on the couch where the poor pregnant lady was supposed to be sitting.

Tracy showing off his skills on his favorite Christmas present.
He's still working on those skills...

Finally, this is my house yesterday. Sofie and I were very surprised and delighted to find icicles hanging off all the trees.

That's it for now. Please please pray for my healing. Love to you all, Dee Dee
