Autumn Festival

I finally got around to playing with acrylic last week. I'd hesitated in the past because the cost is so much higher than chipboard.

I just started drawing a sketch for one after seeing so many pop up on blogs lately, and decided to go for it. Hope you like my first attempt. :)

I love all these rich colors. The whole album was inspired by the red velvet flower I have had sitting on my craft desk for months. :)
Aren't the flowers gorgeous?
I used up some fall themed rub-ons I had left over from last year.
Yummy velvet ribbon in burnt orange.
I love how the bling from the previous page peeks through.
I'm not exactly sure how these canvas tags are supposed to be used, but here's my idea. :)
These small grey flowers are inspiring a whole other album sitting on my craft floor. :)
This red checkered paper was just something random I picked up. I think it blended nicely.
I've reluctantly listed this on eBay if you're interested. :) Happy scrapping.

Is it Autumn Yet?

I have been hopping from project to project in my craft room. There are no less than a dozen albums in the works. *blush* This is a little something fun I made while taking stock of my Halloween stash.

This is one of those rather large office tags measuring 3x6" I found at TCS. I love the orange flower. I can't remember who makes it, but the red gingham and the sheer circle are by Maya Road. What do you think? Is the yellow spidey just one detail too many?

I hope you're planning/sneaking in some craft time too. Enjoy! Dee Dee

So Worth Remembering

I was feeling inspired by the color red so I got out some Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers. They are yummy!

The album is titled So Worth Remembering... I love the gingham flowers by Maya Road.
I picked this quote up from Sherri at TiedUpInRibbons.
I think this leafy paper would be nice for Christmas too.
I have reluctantly parted with some of my 7 Gypsies ribbon. It's so detailed and lovely.

Love the big Prima flower. I need MORE! :)

This one came together so easily. I hope you like! Dee2

Kids Craft Time

Sofie and I have been having daily craft time during Andrew's nap now that Daddy is back at work. It's a little hard for me to let her create messes, but I'm making an effort. :)

Happy Camper

She loves squeezing the glue.

Sofie and Momma

Polka Dots :)

She was a little mad that I wouldn't let her add random beans to my page, and she didn't want me making her beans into anything more specific. I could tell that she really thought I should do it her way. She's as stubborn and bossy as her Momma. :)

Maya Road Sheer Mini Album

I've been working through my stash and enjoying playing with some of the papers I bought some time back. This is a little album I put together this week using some sweet Cosmo Cricket papers. I love all the earthy colors.

I don't think these sheer albums were very popular because they're difficult to adhere things to, but I used super tacky glue from Walmart.
I've been better about getting my sewing machine out to add a bit here and there to my projects.
Rub-ons and self-adhering bling are perfect for these types of albums.

I am enjoying the move to cooler weather and fall colors. I hope to get more time in my scraproom soon. Thanks for looking. Happy scrapping! DeeDee

Family Night in the Giant Red Tomato

We've just started having Sunday nights as family night at the Roeboats. So I have some pics to share.

Blue and his caterpillar buddy. A tasty snack in a pinch.

M found this giant inflatable ball, and that's all we needed for a couple hours of fun.

The blowing up process was almost too much for Sofie.

She was not impressed when I told her it looks like a rotting tomato.

She knew exactly what to do once we finished blowing it up.

M took a turn.

Mommy took a turn in the vortex of asthmatic death.

Sofie was determined to be in it everytime someone else was.

This is the type of picture I usually edit and share with you all.

This is not.

But they're more realistic. :)

Good times! Thanks for stopping in. DeeDee

A Family Visit

My older brother came to meet my son this week. He lives a few hours away so this was really special.

This was Sunday Morning. Had to wake everyone up except Sofie and Andrew. My kids are early birds and his crew all stay up really late. :)

Curly haired cousins.

Brooke is always ready with a pose.

Kyrsten is so beautiful. She woke up this pretty! :) She loves her baby cousin.

A little pouting off to the left because Brooke couldn't find her Barbie dolls. Payton was excited because he was about to play Wii Fit for the first time. He's fiercely competitive like the rest of the my family.

Christian was the early to bed, late to rise type. :) He was so full of fun stories, and remembers details really well.

She didn't want me to take a picture if he was crying. :) Can you tell he's ready for milk?

Uncle Chris and Andrew - he had lots of smiles for his uncle. Maybe it's because he looks like Momma.

Brooke was so excited to hold Andrew. She was a natural. (She's just as bossy as my Sofie, and started telling me how to take care of the baby. haha)

Aren't they the cutest?

Everyone loves Uncle Michael.

Kyrsten likes to look gangster in all her pictures. Silly girl.

Daddy and sleepy baby. He slept almost around the clock with that outfit on.

Kyrsten was warming by the fire.

I just got out of the pool in this pic. :)

Cousins.

Lunchtime

There was a little fighting, a lot of giggling, and so much imagination.

Chris: expert gamer and great daddy.

Payton, who is almost the same height as Brooke.

Christian - totally reminds me of his dad at this age.

She is 10 and the same height as Aunt Dee Dee. Seriously, why did I get the short stick?

Thanks for stopping in! Hope you're making memories to scrap. DeeDee
