50th Birthday Banner

I made this a week or so ago for a friends birthday party. I love the little details. :)

Lots of Maya Road product used: chipboard letters, maya mist, chipboard crown. I crackle painted the crown, and added that fabulous jewel. Not sure who makes them. Just another fabulous item I stumbled upon at The Crafty Scrapper.

MR Sheers for the date. Wish you could see up-close the amazing glitter I used on this. It has metallic chunks and spheres. It looks amazing in-real-life.

I love this trim at the top. I stitched it onto back of the banner.

Cute pic of the party girl. :)

I made a sweet little guest book using Webster's Pages. I LOVE their 6x6 packs - they're actually double-sided. Want to make something for me with them next.

And a pic of my baby Blue (on the left) with his friend R at the party today.

Hope you're all getting some craft time. Happy Scrapping and Happy Birthday to my friend! Dee2

Bunny Crossing Easter Mini Album

Last year when I was pregnant I started dozens of albums, but never had the energy to finish them. This is one of those albums - done! :)

I love this gorgeous velvet ribbon. It measures about 1.5 inches thick, and it's my absolute favorite color lush grassy green. I added some Maya Mist to the flowers to give them a nice sheeny sparkle. I found the little speckled eggs at Hobby Lobby.

Happy Scrapping! :) DeeDee

New Beginnings PFOP Challenge

The designers at PFOP are hosting a baby challenge this week. I decided to do a new paper bag album. I am loving them lately for using up smaller bits of my stash.

I love the color combo with the green, brown, orange, and blue.

I used patterned paper for layering as I just couldn't see too many flowers fitting the theme. :)

That star tag came from a pair of converse shoes my daughter got for Christmas. I knew it would come in handy eventually! :) You can find this album listed HERE on eBay.

Thanks for looking and happy scrapping! Dee2

Memories That Fill My Mind Altered Tin

I'm probably due some bad blogger flogging, but it would be worth it. :) My sister was in town over this last week, and we had the BEST time together. We didn't do much out of the ordinary, but it was so nice to have (adult) company for all my daily activities.

I had fun altering this lunchbox tin a couple weeks ago. I used some older sweet K and Co papers with a heritage feel. I love these new giant Prima blossoms, and the soft feminine colors.

Here's a close-up of the 12 inserts. Layered goodness! This will go on eBay tomorrow with a couple other fun projects. Happy scrapping! Dee2

Mind Your Beeswax

I took a canvas collage class at my local scrapbook store today, and I loved it! It's hard for me to start a project without really knowing where it is going, but this was fantastic. We played with gesso, gel medium, beeswax, paints, inks, etc.

This is how my collage turned out. I was frustrated with it at different stages, but ended up being pleased with the final result.

My sister took the class with me, and hers came out perfectly modern. :)

This is 6 of the 7 collages from the class. Seeing them together makes mine look a bit simple, bit to each her own. :) Can you believe we all had the same supplies to work with, and they all came out so differently?

I can't wait to try another. :D Happy crafting! Dee2

February's Finished Projects

Here are a few more projects I finished for February for TCS and myself. :) There are many more sitting around waiting for completion. Eeek!

The papers are Vintage Valentine by Fancy Pants, the scroll (and calendar sheer) is from Maya Road painted with Distress Crackle paint, and the green rub-on is from Imaginisce. I found those cute Easter eggs at Hobby Lobby. I love how this card turned out, and can't bring myself to send it to anyone! Haha.

I got this album by ScrapFX to play with.

I went crazy on the cover: painting, embossing, stamping, inking, stitching, yada yada. :) Isn't the lion adorable? We buy Blue everything lion so this Little Sprout by Fancy Pants paper was perfect for his album. No idea how I overlooked this paper at my local store, but I LOVE IT. Must have more. Oh, notice near the top my button beehive that I made. I shall be trying another one of these soon. So cute!

I mixed the FP paper with Lullaby Lane by Webster's Pages - perfectly whimsical.

This album gave me the chance to use up lots of sticker scraps from my stash. This is my favorite page of the album.

Isn't he a cutie? :)

Hope you all get some craft time this weekend. I will be taking a canvas class with Sherri! Should be fun. Have a great weekend. Dee2
