Back to Scrapping

So sad I haven't been able to blog for weeks. My Mac had to visit the apple doctor, and then my digital camera went missing. I have been busy crafting in the meantime. :)  Here are some DT layouts I did for my LSS. I have to make a disclaimer that my pics aren't very nice as they were taken in store at night.

"Pout"

I used Bo Bunny's new Sophie line on this layout. I love the colors as my girl is so into plum and dark pink. The papers are Rae and Tickled Pink.

Not sure if you can tell, but I stitched a line of embroidery floss through the center of this ruffle. It looked better before I inked over it.. :)

"Oh Where is my Hair?"

I used a mix of papers here: Sassafras Lass, Bazzill cardstock, Basic Grey. It was one of my first attempts at a boy layout. I think it turned out nicely replacing embellishments with color. :)

It's hard to see in the pic, but I stitched the edges of the scallop. :) It gives it a nice finished and layered look.

"Shelter"

I love this layout of me and my daughter. This is when she was still in stranger-danger mode, and preferred my company to everyone else. Hopefully she will remember how wonderful I am when she is a teenager. ;)

"Twinkle Little Star"

This is my favorite of the ones I've done recently. Drawing and stitching the star took me a while, but I love the sweet simplicity of colors and embellishments. I used Prima packaging for the journaling tag and stars. The minty green seemed like a perfect accent. :)

I hope you're all getting some craft time. Thanks for looking and happy scrapping. Dee2

Smashing Pumpkin

My friend Sherri brought home a bag of goodies from CHA which I have been playing with this weekend. This is the first project I completed.

I was given this beautiful mix of plums, pinks, and oranges to play with. The photo is my daughter picking out our family pumpkins at Central Market this October.

I painted the wooden scalloped sign with TH Distress Crackle Painy, and then sanded the edges. Layered with Bo Bunny patterned paper, ribbon, Basic Grey buttons, Prima flowers, Prima bling, and Maya Road rub-ons and trinket pins.

The title came from my sweet hubby. We laughed deliriously at each other's suggestions late Friday night. (Gourdous instead of gorgeous.)

Close-up of the layering. At the last second I decided to sand the edges of the scalloped journaling tag, and I regretted it. It took too much off, but I decided to leave it. What do you think? :)

Hope you're all getting some craft time. I plan to work on one more design team project today, and then I need to catch up on projects! :)

Happy Scrapping! Dee2
