Scraproom Update

I haven't been scrapping at all for a few weeks, but I did update here and there in my scraproom. :)
First, some wreaths.

These were sitting in a bag on the floor for months. I didn't really know how to hang them, but I finally decided to try pop-dots. Success! I came *this* close to using my hot glue gun. :)

I found this shelf at a Pottery Barn outlet. It was marked 75% off because the back is warped. But since I am too, I didn't let that stop me! :) I love it! It makes my room look so official.

Close-up: Finally a place to put some of the ATCs I really enjoy seeing.

Glitter, Paint, and Gel Medium now have a home. :)

I also finally took pics of the soldered charms I made a few months ago at TCS. The soldering could use some practice, but I think my sarcasm is up to par. ;)

I feel like her today, except maybe the jar needs to be bigger.

This is so me. The loop at the top broke off or I'd be wearing it. Might try to make it a book mark.

Don't the beautiful chair and the filtered sunlight look beautiful? Someone punish me with nothing to do!! :)

I thought this sentiment went perfectly with those legs! :)

This is the first one I made - before I found out the metal overlaps the sides of the charm. I was so sad my J got cut off.

I wish I'd added something else to it, like "time for neither of them." Anyway, I loved how she was holding her head/hair in the photo. It just screams long-suffering to me. :)

A tiny peek of the project that I am going to work on for eBay tomorrow. :)

That's all I have for today. Hope you like! Dee2

Oh, and I have decided to start taking a limited number of custom orders. So many of you have asked, and I am really touched by how much you like my work. Please email me if you'd like to have one made. Thanks!

Creative People

This is another of the projects I finished on National Scrapbook Day. It was a design team project for The Crafty Scrapper. I got to use the delicious new GCD Studios papers and tags. They have really great texture and dimension.

I think my butterfly turned out pretty cute even if I almost lost a finger or two stitching it. Ouch!

Hope you like. Happy Scrapping. Dee2

Imagine Me Free

I made this album on National Scrapbook Day. I was inspired by the Kirk Franklin song "Imagine Me."

Courage: My story

I am going to be teaching a new class at The Crafty Scrapper in June. I am so looking forward to it. :)

The base is an acrylic album which I know a lot of people find intimidating, but it will be so easy and fun to get the layering down. I love the clean airy look I get with the acrylic albums. Don't you love this color combo? I am so into yellow right now.

The whole album was inspired by that GCD studios tag on the cover. I made this a journaling album about the trials I faced in 2009. I am SO glad to be done with 2009. (So so glad.) This is a picture of me 2 months after having Blue. Now my face is all distorted from the steroids I am on. Whine whine. ;) If you take the class you'll probably see me in tears explaining my journaling process.

I will be showing people how to make these paper roses (and some others). I have picked up a few tricks as I have been putting them on everything lately! :D If you stand still too long I might put one on you too! More to show you soon.

Happy Scrapping. Dee2

Gender Neutral, I try! :)

I have three pregnant friends right now, and I am eagerly waiting to find out whether the babies are boys or girls. Come on ladies - wave those ultrasound wands! My mom is going to a babyshower this weekend, and she wanted a gender neutral album for her friend who doesn't know the baby's gender yet. Sigh. I wanted to make a PINK PINK PINK album or something so sweet and blue. :) Alas, I think my design turned out pretty cute.

What's inside this pretty purple packaging? (Oooh, maybe that should have been my name!) I thought I'd wrap this up nice and spiffy since my mom probably won't have time to get to the store before the baby shower.

I am so in love with these Maya Road letters right now. These are painted, inked, crackled, and then inked some more. :)

You can't tell in the picture, but my handmade rose *sparkles and shimmers* with glitter and Maya Road mist.

I thought I'd show a couple of the inside pages. I tried to keep most of them simple and flat so I could use chunky flowers like this blue felt flower by Maya Road on the left. So pretty! I need to find more.

Okay, so if this baby turns out to be a boy this page will need a super BLUE picture to go with the pink. Haha. I couldn't resist. :)

Sorry the pics are dark. I did take them at 2:30 a.m. If you're hoping to recreate this album I used October Afternoon papers and embellishments, and a smattering of embellishments from Sassafras Lass, Basic Grey, and MME.

Our Sweet Girl Chipboard Album

This is an album I started last year, and finished the last little details recently. I still have a few stragglers left from 2009, and am working my way through the year of the stash. :) Anyone else still doing it?

I love the soft pinks, grays, and yellows in this album. One more project down! I have a couple of things to wrap up from National Scrapbook Weekend, and will post them soon. Happy scrapping. Dee2

My Sunshine Onesie album

This is what I came up with for Maya Road's Onesie Album. I was determined not to make a banner out of it! :D

I painted the front side of each piece with a mix of yellow and shopping bag acrylic paint, and then layered on the embellishments and journaling.

The backsides got patterned paper by Sassafras Lass and pics of my cutie when she was 12 months old playing with her shadow outside. :)

Hope you got some scrapping time.
