Fairy Diecut Frame

I created this Fairy Frame from the new die-cut kit at The Crafty Scrapper.

I added painted spools to the bottom of the diecut frame so it stands nicely.

I cut out these fairies from an old G45 collection.

I added a few flowers, and a paper butterfly to the top for a pop of color.

This is a little peek at the back.

I was thinking this would make such an adorable first birthday gift for someone. I am going to put this on my daughters dresser, and hope she can resist taking it apart. ;)

Halloween Costume Chipboard Album

This is one of the albums I made last Halloween, but never got around to showing off. :)

I love these polka dot letters!

Close up of my handmade ribbon flower.

Love this old library pocket.

I love how the muted orange softened the look of the dark paper.

The orange trim is an old Etsy find from three years ago. I am using the stash sparingly.

Chipboard Christmas Banner

This is another late season post. This is a banner I created at Christmas time for my mantle. I was going for a whimsical Grinch green theme. :)

This was created using Crate Paper patterned paper and stickers.

I layered in a Maya Road snowflake and trims.

Cute little mini-spools wrapped in twine and a sticker.

I love the pompoms on the hat. :)

Easter Basket Shaped Chipboard Album

I am so excited about this Easter Basket album by Heart of Texas Studio. They designed it exclusively for The Crafty Scrapper based off a little idea I had for a class. Their products and service are amazing! :)

Here's a little peek at the cover which has so much adorable layering!

A peek at my little butterfly.

I filled it with pictures from Easter, the Dallas Arboretum, and spring!

This will be available as a class and kit at The Crafty Scrapper

Wreath Album using Distress Ink

This is a new design from Heart of Texas Studio. I am so excited because I got to meet the owners and request this design from them. They know how to take an tiny idea and make it AMAZING.

It measures 12x12" so it can fit a LOT of pictures.

I added in hand stitched leaves and a Jenni Bowlin butterfly.

The title uses Maya Road chipboard letters.

The leaves are inked, painted, and then painted some more with white snowy tips.

I also layered in 7Gypsies tissue paper for a beautiful vintage effect.

Thanks for looking, and thanks to Heart of Texas Studio for designing this!

Birthday Party Theme and Decorations

I just wanted to share a few pictures from my daughter's birthday party this winter. She loves to have a traditional at-home party with lots of games and decorations so we spent the week making stuff to put up around the house.

This wagon was out front filled with poppers for the kids to play with when they arrived.

My husband did the streamers. She always has her birthday with her cousin so we used royal blue, plum, and cream for the colors.

We filled the house with 100 balloons. It took so long to get rid of all of them! I secretly cut them down with a pair of scissors one night after everyone went to sleep.

I had 10x12" pictures of the kids blown up and hanging on the wall as a keepsake.

This is from our very competitive game of Pictionary.

Don't you love the headband? I found it at the Dove's Next on the square in Waxahachie.

Uncle Shawn and cousin CeCe. :)

Cheryti made some delicious no egg cookie treats, and I finally got a no egg or vinegar cake to turn out. :)

The 6 and 8 were sparkler candles. I thought they were such a cute idea.

The kids were mesmerized.

And then we lit them. Oh the smoke! 6 asthmatics in the room including both birthday kids and moms, and we moved the party outside. Oops! lol

Embellished Boy Layout

These are more photos from the photo shoot my kids had with Stephanie Wilson Photography. My son was NOT cooperative about having his picture taken. No surprise for a two-year-old I suppose. To finally trick a smile onto his face Stephanie and my husband got him running around with a stick horse and caught him in motion. I suppose it will be a long time before he slows down. :)

The chevron papers are by October Afternoon "Cakewalk."

I love flowers so I couldn't resist adding this suede Maya Road flower even though it is a boy layout. I think the fabric and color made it suitable.

The letters are Thickers.

The chipboard star and cowboy card are both from October Afternoon's Sasparilla line. It is THE cutest paper. swoon.

Australia Travel Album

This is a custom album I made a while ago for a friend. Her friend was taking a once in a lifetime trip to Australia, and she wanted her to have an album to record her trip. It was so fun to explore online what tourists do in Australia to try to get a feel for what to do with this album. Here's what I came up with. :)

I was really happy with this dusky well traveled look of the cover. The papers are 7Gypsies.

I covered the u with real beach sand once I read about their amazing beaches.

I tried to stick to neutrals and the colors of the Australian flag as I had no idea what all she'd see when she got there!

I tried to include lots of envelopes and space for journaling.

I made some of the photo mattes into booklets so she'd have more space for photos.

I hope she got some good shots of kangaroos!

I promise I didn't notice I made it say wonder down under on this page. Sherri teased me about it when she saw this on FB!

Thanks for looking! :)
