Paper Birthday Crowns

Last week I taught a preteen class during which we made paper crowns. The girls and I had so much fun! :) I have been on a crown making kick ever since then. :) Here are a few of the fun crowns I've made.

Anyway, I need to STOP making crowns and finish up a handful of albums I started oh a year or two ago. ;) What are you making?

Maya Road and Heidi Swapp Mini Album

This is the finished "Adventure at Home" album for the Great American Scrapbook Convention. I love the sunny colors and small detailed layering of this album! :) I never know how the supplies I pick out will come together in the end, but I am so pleased with this one.

I tucked a journaling card into the Maya Road burlap bag, and layered it with a MR chipboard house, and butterfly pin.

A side-view so you can see the little flags. Sweet!

I filled the album with pictures I've taken during our adventures at home. :)

Journaling page.

Here's a sweet Maya Road envelope, and new Maya Road felt flower and a small yellow Prima flower.  I layered the bottom of the envelope with both a cream and yellow pom-pom trim.

Thanks for checking it out! :)

Maya Road Chipboard and Canvas Summer Banner

This is another project I designed for the Great American Scrapbook Convention last week. I wanted to show off some Maya Road product and Simple Stories new Summer Fresh collection.

I decided to have some overlapping themes on each banner page, but to try to give each one its own feel.

I really like these new star shaped tins from Maya Road. I filled mine with paper, outlined the inside with silver Stickles, and layered a misted Maya Road letter on top of each one. Each Maya Road banner piece is accented with self-adhsive pearls and covered with various Summer Fresh patterned papers.

I colored each of the canvas stars with different colored Maya Mists and stencils.

I used Maya Road zipper and rosette trims. The yellow is my favorite, but I heard it is being discontinued. :( boohoo.

Then I layered on stickers from the Summer Fresh collection.  So fun and summery.

Here it is hanging happily on my banner. Hopefully I can get it back from the store in time to hang for summer! :)
