Summer Days Custom Album

Good morning!

I wanted to share a sweet summer custom album I designed recently. I loved digging through my stash and piecing together the rich summer colors. :)

My summer is soon to officially start. I think we need swimming passes..

Anyone have any big summer plans?

Thanks for stopping by. More to share soon! :)

Custom Travel Scrapbook and Journal

This is a custom travel scrapbook I created recently. They asked for lots of journaling space so the base is an actual journal to which I added patterned paper, envelopes, and photo mattes.

I created this fun pocket on the cover and tucked in envelopes for holding travel ephemera like tickets and brochures.

I used lots of rub-ons and stamps to emphasize the theme. :)

I like to add lots of ribbon for color and texture.
I thought it turned out beautifully.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Bride and Bridesmaid Crown Set

One of my friends got married this month and for her bachelorette weekend I created these sweet crowns for her and the bridesmaids to wear.
The bride loves burlap, chevron, and teal. :)

I've listed a custom set in my etsy shop if you're interested. :)

On Broadway NYC Scrapbook

This weekend adventure kit gave me the nudge to start scrapping some of my travel photos that have been lingering in a box for a few years.

The biggest weekend adventure I've been on was traveling to NYC with three of my best friends. It was freezing (literally) and one of them had the flu. So sad! She was a trooper and still made the trip.
I decided I wanted this layout to mimic all the colors and lights of Times Square as we walked around the night before going to see The Lion King. The colors and crowds were completely overwhelming to me!

One of my favorite parts of our trip was seeing The Lion King. The costumes were amazing. The singing was so beautiful. There was a little German lady sitting next to me that cried the entire play..
I had fun creating all these layers that remind me of all the signage from the city.

We stopped afterward to take pictures and I had a hot dog from a cart. I'm still surprised I ate from a cart. Haha.

Here's the full double layout. :)

Summer Layered Banner Front Porch Kit

Good morning! :) I wanted to share another project I made with the Weekend Adventure Front Porch Kit. I thought this kit had the perfect colors for a summer banner.

Yellow stars - picture blistering Texas sun.. I have a feeling this summer is going to be HOT HOT HOT.

Here are some close up pictures of the panels. :) I love to add lots of layers to my banners so I see something a little different every time I look.

This was super simple to make and now I have a happy house decoration. :)

Kit available now ($45) at The Little Blue House.

Thanks for stopping by! I have a couple more projects from this kit to share tomorrow. :)

Weekend Adventure Camera Album Mini

The kit includes a Maya Road (my fave) camera album which inspired me to scrap some of my travel photos. When I went on a Caribbean cruise in 2011 I bought posts cards to journal about my adventure. Here's what I came up with -

I knew I wanted the insides to be almost all white so that my photos and posts cards would pop so I decided to incorporate lots of color and texture on the cover.
Painted and layered Maya Road kraft circles. Stitched ribbons and paper strips.

I love the chipboard buttons and phrases included in the kit.

Cover shot - :) I had fun building in the layers - each color took me in a new direction.

I loved how the back of the stitching looked like simple journaling lines.

I journaled a little from each port we stopped at.
Available now ($45) at The Little Blue House.

Thanks for stopping by! More tomorrow. :)

Full Reveal Weekend Adventure

Good morning! It's time to share some of my projects from the Weekend Adventure kit.

When I open a kit I like to lay out every piece and see what colors and shapes speak to me. This kit is full of color so the projects can go so many directions. I was instantly drawn to the navy and softer powder blue.

I did a photo session with my brother and sister two years ago for my birthday. I knew the pics would go so well with this kit.

There is a bit of linen included in the kit so I cut a piece to add some depth and texture behind the photo.

I wanted lots of layers, but still a clean simple look.
These soda can tabs were included and I tried them in so many unsuccessful ways. LOL I do like how they turned out on the banner. :)

Pennant mini -  I wanted to make a little mini with references to some of the funny things my daughter said when she was little. She loves for me to retell those stories so this is to help her remember and share with her friends.
Denim and linen

Here's a picture of the full kit ($45) reveal. It's available now at The Little Blue House.
