Happy Home FPK Reveal Day Three

This is my final project from the Happy Home Front Porch Kit from The Little Blue House.

The first thing I have to tell you is I made a fence out of the wooden shutter pieces included in the kit because it never occurred to me that they were shutters! LOL I think everyone except me got it. Oh well! They make the perfect little white picket fence.

Try not to look too closely at my stitching. My sewing machine was having a fit when I started this project and would not relent. It always seems to know when I have a deadline..
This is a die cut included with the kit which I thought was adorable. :)

Super simple and sweet. It measures about seven inches tall and six inches across so I won't have to trim pictures much to add them in.
I still have a lot of product left over so I may add some more detail to my album as I add pictures.

Thanks for checking out all my projects! If you'd like to order a lot for yourself, orders are being taken on the website at
or you can stop by or call the LBH  at 817-431-7930

Have fun!

Happy Home FPK Reveal Day Two

Today I want to share another project I completed using the Happy Home Front Porch Kit from The Little Blue House.

One of my favorite Christmas gifts this past Christmas was a Bible with space to journal from Tracey from the LBH.  Art journaling during my daily bible study time has really helped me to focus in on what I should be getting out of that day's reading.

The page on the right was created using only supplies from the Happy Home kit, and the page on the left uses some pieces from the kit as well as some stickers and rub-ons from my personal (teeny tiny... fine, don't believe me) stash.
This page was created using three different colored Gelatos over a stencil and then I traced the foam alphabet stickers from the kit and added some stickers and rub-ons. I also colored in the letters and drew some stitched lines with Distress markers.

I soooo need to remember this Psalm. I am a worrier. I make a beeline for the worst case scenario. I wonder why it seems like everyone except me is being blessed, BUT I'm reminded to fret not- to trust, to keep doing the right thing even when I don't see the reward. So hard!

The polka dot arrow is from the exclusive stamp set in the kit. I just want to use it on everything! :D

I layered the striped frame with a transparent tag, foam letters, and embellishments. I love how it turned out.

If you love this kit you can order online or go by the LBH to order.

Here are a couple other pages I've created recently.

Water colors and ephemera.

Here I used water colors, rub-ons, stickers, a coffee filter, and mod podge.

That's all I have for today. More tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!  ❤️💕

Happy Home FPK ReveaL Day One

Today is the Reveal of the newest Front Porch Kit- Happy Home!

Here's a quick picture of all the products in the kit - happiness in a box. :) I love opening the kit and seeing how all the different products come together cohesively.

When I opened this kit box, the colors instantly made me think of my son who happens to LOVE and cherish when I make him things. My first project is a picture box with a pocket inside for holding notes.

I always call my kids my tiny loves so they'll remember two things: 1. I love them 2. I love their daddy, who is my first love.

To create the box, I cut a frame from red cardstock using my Cameo and then layered over the frame with strips of yellow polka dot patterned paper and then stitched over the frame. I cut and frayed a small strip of denim to use the keep the box closed and stitched it to the spine of the box. I cut one more strip of patterned paper and stitched it to the back of the spine.

The inside cover is another stitched frame.
This page has a large pocket behind the matted photo with tags for writing little notes.

My son is a beginner reader so I have been trying to encourage his reading by writing him notes and we text each other back and forth throughout the day. I thought this would be a sweet pocket for him to stuff our notes in.

My next project was this Maya Road shadowbox. I love Maya Road anything so this made me happy.

I first painted the shadow box a deep blue, distressed it, and then covered the small chipboard backgrounds with stitched patterned papers. I used the exclusive stamp kit to stamp the mustard home sweet home heart and mom onto one of the stickers. I also painted some of my wood pieces white for a pop of color.

Then I started to layer embellishments and tied the fabric bow to the top with a bit of twine.

Next up was this double layout. I love the somewhat muted/neutral look of this layout. The pictures are from a sibling photo session they did late last year. My daughter is super confident when taking pictures, but my son is sooo shy. This was a big stretch for him.

To tie this page into the double layout I added the same swirly stitched look and hand drawn stars from the patterned paper.

I tied in elements of burlap, honeycomb, and the blue stars across both pages to make them more cohesive.

I painted a white background and colored in parts of this Kraft paper with Distress Ink pens.

The background for my Honey Bunny layout was made using gelatos and a foam applicator over a stencil. I learned tiny bit goes a long way.. I had to toss my first background and start over. Boo.

I try to take lots of selfies with my kids so they will have pictures with me when they're older. They're not always the best pictures, but they're sweet memories.

I love these transparent polka dot papers included in the kit. They add fun dimension to a layout and polka dots are my favorite!

I knew as soon as I saw this patterned paper I wanted to use it to make a layout with a honey comb theme. The stencil I used on the background was honey comb as well.
That's all I have for today. I will share more projects made from my kit tomorrow!
